Rust Decay Calculator
Enter your building materials and tool cupboard resources to see exactly how long until decay starts, how long your upkeep lasts, and how a server’s custom decay multiplier changes the math.
Building composition
How many blocks per tier?
Count the exterior walls/foundations that would actually decay first — not every honeycomb layer. Don’t want to count? Use a rough estimate below.
Server decay multiplier
Vanilla is 1x
Convention used here: the multiplier scales decay speed. 2x means blocks decay twice as fast (half the time to destroy). 0.5x means decay is half as fast (twice the time to destroy). Most Oxide decay plugins leave upkeep resource cost alone and only change this speed.
Tool cupboard contents
What’s in the TC right now?
Used to estimate how many hours your current upkeep stash covers.
Result
Time until raidable from decay
Once upkeep fully runs out, this is how long until the weakest tier in your composition decays away and opens a hole — at your chosen multiplier.
Based on your wood being the fastest-decaying tier present, once upkeep fully stops.
Per-material decay timers
Unprotected decay time, at this multiplier
Upkeep
Resources consumed per hour
Sum of your composition’s hourly upkeep draw. Twig is not included — it commonly can’t be decay-protected by a Tool Cupboard at all (see Data tab).
Tool cupboard duration
How long your TC contents last
