UUID Lookup

Convert a Minecraft username to its UUID - dashed and trimmed.

Enter a Java Edition account name, e.g. Notch or jeb_.

What is a UUID for?

  • A UUID is a unique account identifier that never changes, even when the player renames.
  • It is used in whitelists, ban lists and permission plugins to identify players reliably.
  • Works for Java Edition accounts - Bedrock Edition players have their own identifier (XUID).
