Minecraft Color Code Text Editor
Type your text, click swatches to drop in color and format codes at the cursor, and get both §- and &-code output at once — with a live chat, sign and book preview.
Editor
Type your text
Click a color or format swatch to insert its code at the cursor. The section-sign (§) codes appear right in the box — that's normal, it's the same thing a plugin config sees.
Press Enter for a new line — each line becomes its own sign line in the sign preview below.
Colors (0–9, a–f)
Formatting
Custom color (hex/RGB, 1.16+)
Solid hex colors only (1.16+ clients and Bukkit/Spigot's ChatColor.of()). No gradients here — for a multi-color fade across text, use the MOTD Generator instead.
Output
Every format, side by side
Vanilla commands and most resource packs want §. Bukkit/Spigot/Paper config.yml and most plugins want & instead — translated at runtime via ChatColor.translateAlternateColorCodes('&', ...).
§-code (vanilla)
§6Welcome to §l§6play.wespner.eu§r §7Have a great stay!
&-code (Bukkit/Spigot)
&6Welcome to &l&6play.wespner.eu&r &7Have a great stay!
Plugin config value (YAML, quoted)
"&6Welcome to &l&6play.wespner.eu&r\n&7Have a great stay!"
Double-quoted and escaped so it can be pasted directly as a value in config.yml, e.g. motd: "..." or a permission-denied message — newlines become \n.

How it looks in-game
These are CSS approximations of the real Minecraft renderer, not pixel-perfect — bold/italic slant and spacing will differ slightly from the actual game font.
