Use & before the code, e.g. &6 for gold or &l for bold text.
Color codes
Click a code to copy it. In the game itself use §, in plugin configs usually &.
- Black#000000
- Dark Blue#0000AA
- Dark Green#00AA00
- Dark Aqua#00AAAA
- Dark Red#AA0000
- Dark Purple#AA00AA
- Gold#FFAA00
- Gray#AAAAAA
- Dark Gray#555555
- Blue#5555FF
- Green#55FF55
- Aqua#55FFFF
- Red#FF5555
- Light Purple#FF55FF
- Yellow#FFFF55
- White#FFFFFF
Formatting codes
Formatting codes go after the color code - a color always resets active formatting.
- Bold
- Italic
- Underline
- Strikethrough
- Obfuscated
- Reset
How to use the codes
- • In game (chat, signs, commands) use the § character; in server.properties use the \u00A7 escape.
- • Most plugins and configs (Bukkit, Spigot, Essentials) accept & instead of §.
- • A color code resets all formatting - put formatting codes after the color (e.g. &6&l).
- • Since version 1.16, hex colors also work in the &#RRGGBB format.
